Seaman

The Expedition's Companion

Purchased for $20. in Pittsburgh, Seaman was Meriwether Lewis' Newfoundland dog. The huge lovable canine of course was the expedition's companion. On many occasions he was the fearless guard dog for the crew, but, he always remained a constant friend to all the members of the Corps.

Congratulations to the winning

bidders:

Mr. and Mrs. Don Zork

I am starting a new program for you, my Cyber Crew friends. For the next few months I will complete a small painting for the Captain's Gallery Auction. The painting will be posted for thirty days. This painting will be sold on June 6, 2004 at 8pm, USA, central time to the highest bidder. There will be no minimum bid.

If you would like to make a bid on the painting to the left, please fill in the following information. Please note that bids will not be posted automatically. The bids have to be posted manually. We are not up to that speed. Therefore, a little time lag may occur between your bid submission and posting on the web site. Also, the page does not refresh automatically. You must do that yourself to see the current bid status. All bids will be posted.

At 8pm June 6, the bid will be placed on a 5 minute timer. If no other bids are received in that time period, the painting will be sold. If another bid is received in that 5 minute time period, that bid will be placed on a 5 minute timer. If no other bids are received, the painting will be sold
